Galvalume Steel Coil

Galvalume Steel Coil

Galvalume steel coil is made by continuously hot-dipping cold-rolled steel strip into an aluminum-zinc-silicon alloy bath, then winding it into coils. It offers excellent corrosion and heat resistance, along with good formability, making it an ideal raw material for roofing panels, wall cladding, appliance housings, and other thin metal products. Compared to Galvalume sheets, coils are easier to transport, cut, and process, making them suitable for large-scale, continuous manufacturing.

More Details

Advantages

Uniform Continuous Coating: The hot-dip coating process provides a consistent and strongly adhered alloy layer, improving corrosion resistance.

Flexible Dimensions: Width and thickness can be tailored to suit different processing and manufacturing requirements.

Strong Processing Adaptability: The coil form is suitable for cold rolling, stamping, shearing, and welding, supporting automated mass production.

Convenient Transportation and Storage: Coiled packaging saves space and cuts logistics costs, while allowing easy on-site cutting.

Stable Surface Quality: The silver-gray surface displays distinct spangle patterns, making it easier for subsequent painting and processing.

Applications

Construction
Preferred material for roofing sheets, wall panels, purlins, and gutters.

Home Appliances
Used for outer shells and internal components of refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, etc.

Agricultural Facilities
Applied in harsh agricultural structures like greenhouse frames, barns, and livestock shelters.

Transportation
Used in trailer panels, containers, and vehicle chassis parts.

Industrial Equipment
Manufacturing ventilation ducts, structural supports, and machinery enclosures.

Manufacturing Process

Preparation of Cold-Rolled Base: Choose a high-quality cold-rolled steel coil with consistent thickness and a clean surface.

Surface Pretreatment: Chemical degreasing and pickling remove oxides and contaminants, improving coating adhesion.

Hot-Dip Coating: Steel strip continuously passes through a molten aluminum-zinc-silicon alloy bath at about 550°C, forming a dense alloy layer.

Cooling and Setting: The coating cools and hardens, creating a stable silver-gray speckled texture.

Post-Treatment: Optional passivation, oiling, or film coating to improve corrosion resistance and fingerprint prevention.

Coiling and Packaging: The coated steel strip is coiled and cut according to customer specifications, then packed for shipment.

Colored Galvalume Steel Coil (Non-Painted Type)

In addition to standard silver Galvalume coils, we also offer colored Galvalume coils with a light, iridescent finish.
These coils are not pre-painted, but achieve their unique appearance through a special passivation or anti-fingerprint (AFP) treatment applied to the Galvalume surface.

The transparent or semi-transparent protective layer creates a subtle color effect under light —
commonly showing blue, green, golden, or rainbow-like tones depending on the coating composition and film thickness.

This type of Galvalume steel combines decorative appeal with outstanding corrosion resistance,
making it an excellent choice for roofing, wall cladding, ventilation systems, and appliance back panels.

Available surface tones:
Blue Galvalume Steel Coil, Green Galvalume Steel Coil, Golden Galvalume Steel Coil
