Galvanised Steel Mesh Sheets
Galvanised Steel Mesh Sheets
Steel mesh typically comes in two types: welded wire mesh, which is ideal for structural applications because of its strength and stability, and woven wire mesh, which is commonly used for filtration and decorative purposes.
ZHAOJIAN offers various sizes, such as 6ft × 3ft and 8ft × 4ft, with mesh apertures from 25mm to 75mm and wire gauges from 6G to 12G (about 2.5mm to 4.5mm). Custom sizes are also available. As a professional supplier of metal mesh products, ZHAOJIAN is committed to providing reliable quality and a wide range of options to meet diverse application needs.

Manufacturing Process
The production of galvanised steel mesh sheets typically includes the following steps:
- Wire Drawing
Steel rods are drawn into fine, low-carbon wires of specific diameters.
- Welding or Weaving
- Welded mesh: Wires are joined at intersections using resistance welding to form rigid mesh sheets.
- Woven mesh (optional): Wires are interlaced for use in decorative or filtration applications.
- Galvanisation
- Hot-dip galvanising: The welded mesh is immersed in molten zinc to coat the entire surface.
- Galvanisation can occur before welding (GBW) or after welding (GAW); GAW offers better corrosion resistance at the joints.
Key Advantages
- Outstanding Corrosion Resistance
The hot-dip galvanizing process creates a thick, durable zinc coating that protects every part of the steel. It guards against moisture, air, and minor scratches due to zinc’s self-healing properties (acting as a sacrificial anode). Even small surface damage won’t weaken its performance — zinc carbonate forms a natural protective barrier.
- Long Service Life
Galvanized steel mesh provides exceptional durability and needs little maintenance. Its steady and dependable performance over time makes it a trusted long-term solution across many industries.
- Strong and Structurally Sound
Welded mesh design provides high tensile strength, rigidity, and excellent load-bearing capacity. These mesh sheets stay stable under pressure and resist bending or deformation, even in heavy-duty environments.
- Low Maintenance
No painting or frequent treatment is required. The zinc coating doesn’t crack or shrink, and the steel underneath stays protected throughout its service life — indoors or outdoors.
- Cost-Effective Solution
Galvanising is a cost-effective steel protection method. With its durability and minimal maintenance, galvanised mesh is one of the most economical options for construction, agriculture, security, and more.
- Quick & Easy to Use
Sheets are pre-fabricated, ready to install, and require no additional preparation. This saves time during transportation, handling, and assembly.
- Environmentally Friendly
Thanks to its long lifespan, recyclability, and reduced need for chemical coatings (like paint), galvanised steel has a lower environmental impact compared to many alternative materials.
- Versatile & Customisable
Available in various mesh sizes, wire gauges, and sheet dimensions. Suitable for applications such as construction reinforcement, animal enclosures, garden fencing, machine guards, and more.
- Good Appearance & Design Appeal
With its sleek, industrial appearance, galvanised steel is becoming more popular in interior design — used for wall panels, partitions, and decorative cladding. It combines functionality with modern style.
