Galvanized Steel square tube
Galvanized Steel square tube
Galvanized steel square tube is a structural steel product with a square cross-section, coated with zinc to enhance corrosion resistance. Galvanized square tubing is primarily used in structural and manufacturing applications. Its uniform square shape provides excellent load-bearing capacity and easy connections, making it an ideal choice for frames, building supports, furniture manufacturing, automotive parts, and fencing. The galvanized coating prevents rust and weathering, extending the service life of the tubing in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Zhaojian Steel offers a wide range of high-quality galvanized square tubing products to meet various industry needs. Our selection includes popular sizes like 4×4 galvanized square tubing and 1×1 galvanized square tubing, suitable for everything from sturdy carport frames to precision structural applications. We also provide galvanized steel perforated square tubes, perfect for ventilation, drainage, and decorative uses.

Galvanized steel square tube Uses
Unlike galvanized steel pipes, which are mainly used for transporting pressurized fluids, galvanized square tubes focus on providing mechanical support and structural integrity across various industries.
Building and construction frameworks: Used for structural supports, scaffolding, and building components.
Furniture manufacturing: Frames for chairs, tables, beds, and shelving units.
Automotive parts: Used in chassis, roll cages, and other structural components requiring high strength and corrosion resistance.
Industrial machinery: Fabrication of machine frames, conveyor supports, and equipment guards.
Fencing and railings: Manufacturing fences, gates, and handrails.
Agricultural structures: Used in greenhouses, livestock fencing, and other outdoor equipment.

Galvanized Steel Square Tube Manufacturing Process
- Pipe Forming: Galvanized steel pipes (seamless or welded) undergo surface treatment, including degreasing, pickling, and rinsing to remove oxide scale.
- Hot-Dip Galvanizing: The pipes are fully immersed in molten zinc at approximately 450°C, coating both the inside and outside surfaces.
- Cooling and Quality Inspection: After galvanizing, the pipes are cooled in air or water and inspected for uniform zinc coating thickness, coverage inside and outside, and surface defects. Pipes are often treated with passivation or oil coating to enhance durability.
- Cutting and End Finishing: Pipes are cut to the required length. Ends can be beveled, threaded, or grooved as needed.
FAQ
Yes. The zinc coating protects the tubing from rust and corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor and exposed environments.
Yes, but the zinc coating should be removed at the weld area for best results, and proper ventilation is required due to zinc fume during welding.
Square tubing has uniform flat sides for easier joining and better load distribution in frames, while round pipes are typically used for fluid transport and cylindrical structural support.
