Slitting
Steel Coil Slitting
The Steel Coil Slitting helps us precisely cut large metal coils to the exact dimensions you need. Regardless of carbon steel, stainless steel, or others, Zhaojian uses the most advanced slitting equipment to ensure clean, flat cut edges and tight width tolerances.
Our slitting production line consists of three steps. First is Uncoiling, a crucial step where the large master coil is smoothly and evenly unwound, secured, and held under appropriate tension to keep the material’s surface flat, preventing slack, wrinkles, or overstretching. Second is Slitting, the core step, where the unwound material is precisely cut into narrow strips of predetermined widths by high-speed steel blades. This pre-setting of widths is also a benefit of the fully automatic CNC system. Third is Rewinding, where these cut narrow strips are individually rewound into separate daughter coils with the same tension as the first step, and an Edge Guiding System ensures each strip’s edge is perfectly aligned during rewinding, creating a flawless coil.
Our slitting service at Zhaojian is perfected to the highest standard, allowing us to process master coils into high-quality steel products suitable for various industries. Contact us for more detailed information.

Versatile Uses of Slit Steel Coils
Steel coils, after slitting, can be used in multiple industries, such as:
Automotive: Body panels, internal structural parts, seat components, and exhaust system components.
Home Appliance: Shells of household appliances like refrigerators, as well as internal brackets, partitions, and other components.
Metal Products and Hardware Industry: Stamping parts, fasteners, tools, pipes, and general machinery components.
Additionally, sectors like construction, electrical, and packaging also require these processed steel materials as a production foundation.
